There's not a real need for a vast amount of documentation for this
product so I'll just do a walk thru on how to set the various control
files are setup.

5 Easy Steps to generating Status Messages with NetStat
1) Print out this doc so you can following along with it. ;)
2) Load NETSTAT.CTL into any ASCII editor.
a - Specify your address
b - Specify the directory to your netmail area. (NEVER end this
with a trailing backslash)
c - Specify your name
3) Load NETSTAT.TXT into any ASCII editor. This file, if present, will
be the first thing in all generated msgs.
4) Copy any portion of the nodelist to NETSTAT.DAT. NETSTAT.DAT is
just the Standard St. Loius format and also supports the "Point"
identifier. (Your welcome <g>).
NOTE: Any entry in NETSTAT.DAT that begins with "Zone", "Hold", or
"Down" will not have a message generated. "Region", "Host",
"Hub", "Pvt", "Point" & regular nodes are the only entries
that will cause NetStat to generate a status message.
ALSO: Any flag that stars with U or G will have it trimmed off when
searching for a verbose description.
eg: if the node has the USDS flag, SDS will be looked up in
NETSTAT.CTL. In most cases NETSTAT.CTL's flag definitions
won't have to be changed.
5) Run Netstat. (oh, you knew that one, eh?)
You're done! Enjoy. If you're still unsure what the program does, try
deleting all but a few lines from the supplied .DAT file & run it.
I hope you find this program helpful.
Ron
ps... Comment lines are supported in NETSTAT.DAT but not NETSTAT.CTL.
